It's official!  Vail-Beaver Creek will host the Alpine Ski World Championship in 2015.  The last time Beaver Creek hosted the ski championships was in 1999, also the last time the event was held in the US.  Vail-Beaver Creek beat out other bidders Cortina, Italy and St. Moritz, Switzerland for the honor.
Vail's sweetheart skier, Lindsey Vonn, sent her congratulations to everyone in Vail for their hard work, "I'm so excited!" she tweeted...  Look to hear more about this special event in the near future and think about booking your trips soon for this exciting week of ski racing!
